Statues of former presidents are made here





Mount Rushmore is a monument dedicated to the memory of presidents in America. There is a 60 feet tall structure here. In this, the statues of former Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln are engraved on the hill. The monument is spread over 1,278 acres. It is maintained by the National Park Service. About 2 million people visit this monument annually. This monument is also called Lakota Sioux. Because the statues of 6 presidents have been engraved in it. It was later named after Charles E Rushmore, a prominent New York lawyer. In fact, the purpose of carving such artifacts in Mount Rushmore was to increase tourist attraction in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The project began after a long negotiation between the then Congressional delegation and President Calvin Coolidge. Work began in 1927 under the direction of the sculptor Gutzon Borglum and was completed in 1941.


Austria: 1200 year old library got the title of most beautiful library.



The Monastery Library, built by Benedict the Monk 1200 years ago in Edmont Abbey, Austria, has been included in the world's largest and most beautiful library. It was built in 1074 by Benedict the Monk of Salzburg.  It is one of the major attractions for tourists nowadays. Beautiful paintings have been done in the dome of the 70 meter long library.
